Zoella Halloween Makeup 2014 Tutorial

Hi guys!

I've decided to do another Halloween makeup tutorial in the lead up to Friday! This time I recreated the halloween makeup Zoella wore to the Asda halloween party. Hope you enjoy!

What you will need:
- halloween eye contacts (optional)
- concealer
- foundation + brush
- white face paint (optional)
- translucent powder + brush
- black face paint + sponge
- dark eyebrow pencil
- dark eye-shadow + angled brush
- black eye shadow + fluffy brush/blending brush
- fake eyelashes (optional)
- fake blood + cotton buds
- black or dark lipstick

First off, before applying any makeup, put in your scary contacts if you want to wear them! I chose red and white for this look. The contacts take a little while to get used to, so make sure you leave enough time to get used to your contacts (about 20 mins to half an hour) and apply all your makeup before you need to go out! I would recommend starting the process of this look about one and a half hours before you need to be fully ready.

Step 1: Conceal away any blemishes and dark circles under your eyes that you may have with your favourite concealer. I was using Bobbi Brown's Creamy Concealer in Warm Ivory.

Step 2: Cover your face with a foundation colour to match your skin or even to make your skin look a little lighter and creepier. You can even try mixing in your foundation with a bit of white face paint to really get a creepy look! Set this foundation or face paint with a big fluffy brush and translucent powder.

Step 3: Take a very tiny bit of black face paint on a sponge and dab a bit over your cheekbones - just like how you may apply bronzer - and then blend the black out to create a hollow, shadowy contour across your cheek. Spooky!

Step 4: Take a dark eyebrow pencil and fill in your brows. The eyebrows are very dramatic in this look so the pencil doesn't have to be your natural colour - a dark brown or even black will look great. Fill in your brows as you might do normally and then take an angled brush and dark eye-shadow to create the lines on top of the eyebrows. Simply flick the brush in a 45 degree angle away from the rest of your eyebrow to create this creepy eyebrow effect.

Step 5: Cover the outer 3/4 of your eyelid with black eye-shadow and bring it down to apply on your lower lash line as well. This doesn't have to be pretty or even neat as you then need to blend out all of the eye-shadow you just applied to create a very creepy intense smokey eye effect. I then applied fake eyelashes, but you can use mascara if you don't want to buy any dramatic halloween lashes.

Step 6: BLOOD. Squeeze some fake blood onto a plate and dab in a cotton bud. Then, use the blood-drenched cotton bud to draw a pool of blood just on and underneath the black eye-shadow you have on your bottom lash line. This will act as a starting point for all of the drips of blood down your face.
Then, draw wavy lines from the pool of blood all the way down to your cheek. Make sure to draw many different lines of many different shapes and sizes as this will make the blood look more believable that it has fallen from your eyes.

Step 7: Apply black lipstick until your lips are jet black. You could also use dark purple or dark red for this look if you don't have black!

COMPLETE! :)

Hope you all have a wonderful halloween!
