Collab with Velvet Blush: Autumn/Winter Trends

Hi guys!

This post is a little different! I've paired up with the amazing Velvet Blush to let you all know what we think are the best Autumn/Winter trends! Velvet Blush has such a great blog that includes posts on beauty, fashion, lifestyle and books! Her well rounded posts give you a deeper insight into all things beauty and fashion! I hope you enjoy reading the below post as much as I enjoyed creating it :)

Autumn/Winter 2014 Makeup trends

Metallic Eyes
Forget mattes and shimmers, metallic eyes are making a comeback this season. The look is relatively simple to recreate, all you need is a wash of metallic eyeshadow over the entire lid. If you’re feeling more adventurous you could try a similar metallic shade in the crease.
This look isn’t limited to makeup artists with their expensive kit. Affordable options include the Rimmel scandaleyes eyeshadow paints, Maybelline Colour Tattoos or the Collection metallic cream eyeshadows!

Battle of the Best: Zoeva VS. Real Techniques

Hi guys!

As you all probably know, Zoeva and Real Techniques are two make up brush brands that are really blowing up right now. Everybody seems to be writing about their latest pick ups of these two gorgeous brands and I am no different! Therefore, I thought it would be fun to compare the two and see which brush brand really comes out on top.

1. Price: On the Zoeva website, their 102 Silk Finish Face Brush roughly translates to £10.25, whereas the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush (which is aesthetically very similar to the Zoeva Face Brush) is just £8.99 on the Superdrug website. Also, the Zoeva Classic Eye Set (brush set of 6 different brushes) is priced as roughly £30, whereas the Real Techniques Eye Starter set (brush set of 5 different brushes is just £20.99. However, you can argue that there is one less brush in the Real Techniques set, Real Techniques are a drugstore brand and therefore have to be cheaper than the online retailers and that Zoeva brushes will cost a bit more because of the great ethical values behind the brand - but more on this later.
